You may call me a dreamer, but I am not the only one. Change and unity, to shape our post pandemic reality for a better humanity.
I was never the person who dared to write on a public platform, yet alone write about the most sensitive subject of the current talk. Tonight, I finally feel like I have a choice and I choose to have a voice.
I don’t claim to know it all. I don’t think of myself as a writer, yet.
All I know, is that for the past ten years or so, I have been suppressing my gut feeling which tells me to write. I finally am stepping out of the shadow of my own fears.
To me, sharing it here is my invitation for you be a part of the journey.
As I am in the pursuit of understanding consciousness and life, I don’t claim to be at the destination. So, please join me instead of making judgments of me. Contact me if you have anything to teach. We are all here to learn, continuously till the last breath. The people who stop learning and being curious after a certain age, who get stuck in a loop of concurrent cycles of habits and ego, are sad fellow human beings because it is sad to have your ego in the driver’s seat.
Back to the point, pandemic. Ask yourself, did you ever think that something like the 2020 pandemic and lockdown was possible?
However, did any of you guys believe them? Did you ever think that there would be a virus which would kill so many after MERS was officially the most dangerous of them all, since MERS has had a mortality rate as high as 37.2%? Think about how near 40% mortality rate with Covid-19 could have destroyed humanity.
We also, did not imagine how such a pandemic could connect us all globally. We are all in this together. The experience we call life, being born as a human animal and our earth were the only variables that we all have shared together till 2020 happened. Nowadays, we all share an experience of standing against one tiny invisible virus. Humanity vs coronavirus (COVID-19).
John Lennon (1971), imagines. He imagined all countries as one, us as one earth, coronavirus is showing us how interconnected we all are, regardless of having our borders. The genius writer goes on to say, nothing to kill or die for. As long as there is a pandemic, America is not bombing yet another country in the East of our earth.
The news tells us that Taliban is helping the people and the army forces of different countries are focusing to help their country in new novel ways. Sadly, one country is trying to hush it’s people. The american people have been so desperate for change since Bush, that they chose a wonderful first black president who gave them Obamacare and then, too much change happened for a businessman to end up leading them.
Speaking of America, have you watched the video of George Floyd’s death? Can you guess what I thought of the whole time? I am wondering wether you and I, we have the same perception. I think that it is f-ed up how no one dared to push the police off poor Floyd’s neck for those 8 minutes and I also think about how his meaningful death has brought all the people together. You see, when the people at home saw the injustice recorded by the witnesses who couldn’t fight the police when a man’s life was slowly taken right in front of their eyes, on the streets, in bright daylight, in 2020, they all came together, to fight the last battle. This needs to be last time such a thing happens in the 21st century.
Tupac (1998) says ‘We gotta make a change
It’s time for us as a people to start makin’ some changes
Let’s change the way we eat, let’s change the way we live
And let’s change the way we treat each other
You see, the old way wasn’t working so it’s on us to do
What we gotta do, to survivem (this is not my typo)
And still I see no changes, can’t a brother get a little peace?
There’s war in the streets and war in the Middle East
Instead of war on poverty, they got a war on drugs
So the police can bother me’
The death of George Floyd: What video and other records show about his final minutes
On May 25, Minneapolis resident George Floyd was pinned facedown on the ground, in handcuffs, by a white police officer…
He asked us to change more than 20 years ago, he says to ‘learn to see me as a brother instead of two distant strangers. It takes skill to be real, time to heal each other.’ 2020 truly is the year for that.
He goes on to tell us in his song, that we can never go nowhere unless we share with each other. So, let us share on social media, to shape our new world post lockdown. We should share our efforts for healing ourselves and our earth, from the wounds of the past and the present, in order to better our future. We can all come together, one step at a time, with no border, no religion and no colour difference stopping us unite.
Let us come together to heal ourselevs and our earth. Let us all become activists, for the first time, all together. I mean all of us. And yes, you could call me a dreamer but I am hoping that I am not the only one.
I am hoping for an idyllic humanity. By sharing and starting a movement towards idyllic humanity, we will form an intercontinental group of people, sorting our world’s problems, one at a time, together worldwide. We will also be inspiring the rest of us by showing the acts of goodness, at the same time of addressing the bad old ways, which have been stuck with mankind, that need to change. ASAP.
Sharing is caring and observing is learning. Having said that, let’s create the right content in one place. Let’s make yet another change, with #idyllichumanity . You can make the biggest change, with the smallest decisions.
Yes, you!! You can help us change the course of humanity’s path.
They always told us to be the change we want to see in the world. Let’s do that in 2020, let’s change our ways in order to shape a better earth for ourselves and the future generations.
Let’s make a promise to grow and change within, to share our inner growth journey with each other, in order to create a safe environment for change which will enable others to do the same, to learn and be inspired. All the little changes within will eventually make the big changes we all need outside in the world.
Whenever you feel small, think about the mosquitoes. One tiny mosquito can make such a big difference in a huge room compared to it’s size, with the buzzing sound it makes that it can shift your attention on to itself and could even stop you from continuing with whatever you were doing before the buzz.
Having said that, let’s all buzz together, for long enough to make real changes. Let us aim for that dream, the dream of true equality and the earth that was intended for us all. Let us take back control. One day at a time. By sharing and learning, by planning and changing.
An idyllic humanity is what we deserve.
Thank you for taking the time to read my first piece 🙏🏼
