What to consider when making hard decisions in life
Being indecisive is your enemy.
Hard decisions don’t mess up your life, it’s indecision that does that for you.
You need to figure out how to know.
Try to not rely on other people to make your hard decisions for you.
For example, if you want to quit your job. If you don’t know wether to stay with your significant other. These are not choices that others should make for you. Ultimately, you are the person who knows everything and will eventually have to live with the consequences of your decision.
You have one life, and your being deep down inside has the answers. Only if you stay silent enough to listen.
Seeking other people’s consensus and permission to tell you that your own decision is the right one, is the start of journey down to misery lane.
Having said that, if you’re lucky enough to be with a significant other who sometimes knows you better than yourself, then you are an exception. You have one person in this world who wants the best for you, is willing to make sacrifices and compromises for you, and knows you better than you could have ever wished for, then you might be the lucky one who can mind pool. In the end, it should still be your own decisions and no one else’s.
One of the greatest lessons of life is to learn to look inside yourself rather then outside for your answers to life.
Trying to fit a mold, the role you have been cast in life since years ago, to please other people’s opinion of you, is the worst thing you could do to yourself and this causes indecisiveness.
Don’t follow your fears or other people’s opinions. Follow your own instincts and you will end up where you deep down inside know is right for you.
